Genie Recalls Garage Door Openers Due to Fire Hazard

The information below is a recall notice from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CSPC) announcing a recall of Genie Garage Door Openers. Specific model numbers for the recalled product are listed on the CPSC website. Genie has announced a voluntary recall of its PowerMax and GeniePro garage door openers. Genie has received four reports of the control board overheating. No injuries have been reported. The control board in the garage door openers can overheat, posing a fire hazard. The recall involves Genie, models PowerMax1200 and 1500 and GeniePro, models TriloG1200 and 1500, screw drive garage door openers. The model name appears on both sides of the opener.
