Julius F. "Rick" Parker III
Julius F. "Rick" Parker, III is a Senior Associate with the Tallahassee, Florida office of Butler Pappas, joining the firm in 2004. He devotes his practice to third party liability defense, third party liability coverage, extra-contractual matters and appeals. He has significant trial and appellate experience in both state and federal courts. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Parker owned a successful contracting business.
Mr. Parker attended the University of Arizona where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration in 1987. He earned his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, in 1998 from the Florida State University College of Law, where he also served as Articles and Notes Editor for the Journal of Land Use & Environmental Law.
During law school, Mr. Parker earned book awards in: Civil Procedure I, Federal Jurisdiction, Remedies and Energy Law & Policy. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in Florida, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a current member of The Florida Bar, the Tallahassee Bar Association and immediate past president of the Legal Aid Foundation of the Tallahassee Bar Association.
